The 2014 revision left nothing open to interpretation.
Codes are always open to interpretation (otherwise we'd have no need for lawyers and judges). NEC 625.29 mostly talks about needing ventilation when you need ventilation, and not needing ventilation when you don't need it. I see nothing that says a circuit must be dedicated to an EVSE.
