625.29 is evse indoor location, mostly about ventilation, also tells you not to use an extension cord.
There's also 625.30 and also 625.40.
It also says to abide by article 220.14 , 220.19 and 220.20 those can easily direct a deticated circuit be used.
If you want to use a 16 amp evse you need a 20 amp circuit, while the evse is on you can't use anything else on it.

If it's a portable evse not much they can do to stop you from using it.
