The group that is so marginalized that you can't even joke about them changes constantly. Currently it's transgender, before that it was women, and before that it was gay people... eventually we'll get to white men when they become minorities (which they already are from a world perspective).
We should be shaming people for being intentionally cruel, not for making jokes. You punish someone that has unfunny jokes by not laughing. They'll get the idea. You shame someone that is being cruel by telling them their behavior isn't cool.
Anyhow, I always thought He-man was a homo, even before I knew what that was. I mean, blonde muscular dude running around with no clothes on. It's odd to say the least.
... and as I've always said, we all belong to the smallest minority group of all, the individual. Nobody shares exactly the same experiences, challenges, opportunities, and tragedies as another. For that reason, treating individuals as a group doesn't make sense. The most logical way to view people is as an individual.
