CA won't allow tape on intake manifold (or exhaust) but brazing is allowed. You cant weld cast iron I was told by a experienced welder (on a Suzuki sidekick). I couldn't source an exhaust manifold any of my sources. Some of the newer expoxies would probably work. The crack is no doubt making a lean(irregular) reading at O2. No smog here in southern OR. You pay in smoke when you get behind the logging trucks(injection pumps are turned advanced. I guess carb legal header is big bucks (maybe a used one.. I have everything but e/manifold and ecu for vx. I would check jdm engine
