I missed this too.
That said, someone recently posted that cargo ships are soon going to be required to not burn bunker fuel. That means demand for diesel will skyrocket, and if it does, so too will the price.
I'm a big fan of diesels, but I wouldn't buy one these days. They get about 20% more MPG, but the cost is at least that much more compared with gasoline.
