If you charge at home the range will only matter if you plan on traveling over 240 miles on a day without stops at locations that do have charging?
In my case I could make do with 180 miles of range, and that's assuming I revert to driving faster than I do now (partly noise relevant, partly due to extreme gas prices over here).
I have not been in a situation where I would need more than that in the past 15 years.
