I do see where the "standard plus" which is the lowest you can now spec online is just about $41,000 so IF they are somehow offering a locked out downgraded version of that car if you know the secret handshake, maybe there is a $36,200 Tesla out there. I feel like it will be like trying to buy just internet service from your cable provider. Be prepared to talk to 3 different operators and spend an hour on the phone only to get disconnected just before receiving your confirmation.
