One million miles

Musk said the current battery packs have a longevity of 300,000 to 500,000 miles, which would be sufficient for most cars. However, the drivetrain lasts a million miles, so chances are if you do drive a lot the pack would be first to go.
For now.

Tesla has filed a patent for a different battery and electrolyte chemistry which it expects makes the packs last for a million miles...!
