I've always thought asphalt, sand, and fiberglass were fairly poor materials for a roof considering they last 30 years at best. Glass seems like it would hold up better.

A solar roof should replace the roof to cut down on the cost and complexity of it.

It's like a BBQ grill cover for your BBQ grill cover. Why do I need a cover for my cover? what protects the cover of the cover?
