Tuesday evening, I drove 13 hours, 538 mi, round trip to Tunica MS for $18 electricity. I visited SuperChargers three times, the Memphis one twice, and Tupelo MS. I was planning to rest in an RV park while taking a nap to reach Tupelo but the absence of a craps table at the nearest casino killed that plan.
The Tupelo to home leg showed evidence of running out of charge so I changed the route. I took a shorter route on county roads, 45 mph, to extend the range and arrive home with 15-17 miles remaining. The most valuable lesson was learning how the car let us track the distance and remaining charge.
