If you are looking for straight line performance per dollar you will have a very hard time beating a motorcycle. There are lots of bikes that will run 0-60 in less than 3 seconds for under $20K new.

The claim was fastest production car 0-60mph, that's all I'm covering. The Demon has it. No matter what you have there will always be somebody faster/quicker. I personally am orbiting the Milky Way at 500,000 mph and the Milky Way is heading at about 900,000 mph toward the Great Attractor. It will take like a billion years to get there, I guess the Tesla gets there 3 seconds early.
PS, I just remembered I have you all beat with a catapult takeoff on the Carl Vinson. Even the lazy old twin prop cargo plane made 0-60 in just over a second. An F-18 does it in more like .8 sec. Of course Top Fuel does it in .4 sec.
The best thing about the C2 carrier launch is you get to sit backwards as a passenger because the arrested landing is actually worse!
