That's too bad about your problems. Last summer, using 87 octane E0, 85% of the time in our 140,000 mile, EPA highway 32MPG Hyundai Accent, 18 tanks in a row were over 40MPG. The highest tanks were all E0, the top three being 45+, 47+ & 48+ MPG. Our two Hyundai Elantras AND the Accent have small gas tanks, but ALL of them registered 500 miles on single tanks of gas. During last summer's boon of "efficiency", two of the cars were wearing used boots, much larger than standard.
