We got our 2016 Elantra brand new with full 100,000 mile warrantee...... for under $13,000. Some people were getting new Elantras for $11,000 recently.
The so-called Elantra scandal was a bunch of talkin' head leadfooters who wouldn't work to get 30-40MPG. I knew it before we bought two Elantras, both which have gotten 45-46MPG. For the first year of the 2013 Elantra, using 87 octane 100% E0, I over-all averaged 39MPG (pencil & paper, not car computer).
