The Prius drivetrain consists of an engine and two electric motors. Consider the Lexus LX400h/Highlander. It is also Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive technology, but it has an electric rear axle (some model years).

(compared here with a VW engine case)

68hp and 98lb but it needs an independent suspension. ....and 400 volts.
