So if I were to pull the front axle, put the Prius motors on the front hubs, and get the biggest oversize alternator I can do you think the old 302 could power it? This again would mostly be a dead-stop assist for heavy loads, and maybe to help keep speed on the uphills sometimes. I wonder if it would also be strong enough for quick trips around town? I have a manual transmission so I could just put it in neutral and run on the electric front drive. I can arm strong steer this pickup if I need to, and I've always thought power brakes were just foolish outside of a CMV.
