Using the 302 to power an electric axle would be a series hybrid. With lower efficiency.
Once again, the Prius electric motors are integrated into a bellhousing on the ICE. Someone else will have to comment on converting them to hub motors.
If you use the Lexus/Highlander axle with a separate controller and battery pack, that would be a through-the-road hybrid with separated systems.
