Just A Car Guy: looks like the right sort of lake hopper to me... small, with a VW engine and a couple gas tanks. You actually don't need anything more from a plane when going fishing (room for bait, poles, snacks and beer of course)

It looks like the 50s or 60s, so 36hp?
