Escape velocity is 1/5th of Earth's. ....Theoretically.
Last night,on PBS's 'Chasing the Moon' documentary of Apollo-11,they mentioned a third-stage burn which took them orbital speed,to 25,000 mph escape velocity,and into trans lunar insertion.
