Yeah. It is comically ugly, but that's just a crude test vehicle, not a production prototype. Clearly they want "real world" data, using the best possible panels. I would imagine they are tweaking other things inside--from battery size, to overall weight, to software. I am sure they will not completely cover the rear window like that, in the end.
