I just parked the
Irksome Winter Beater Metro for the rest of the year.
Despite seemingly needing weekly repairs lately, it rewarded my loyalty with two best-ever tanks in a row:
Maybe I should threaten to buy a used Mirage more often!
The car has all the same mods as the Firefly, minus rear wheel skirts and the taller-geared transmission. (I actually have one to put in, but I just haven't done it.) The Firefly could deliver slightly better than 80 MPG US in similar weather conditions & routes.
Now driving
the MPGiata until at least early November.
