Food may expire before the Best By date or it may still be good, you do not serve it just because it is before the date and, at least at home, you do not toss it just because it passed the date.

How about spices and condiments? Is my ketchup bad because it is a week past some arbitrary date?

Is my salt?

How about my water bottle, thanks New Jersey!
