I don't know what an iffy subject is.
I'm saying something about dying because it's pretty important to most people. I don't require permission from anyone to bring up a subject, especially if it's relevant to the topic of political mitigation of climate change.
You took my comment out of context, as far as I can tell, to deliberately paint me in a bad light. The evidence suggests your intention then wasn't to discuss/debate ideas, but to slander me. Perhaps that wasn't your intention, and it doesn't upset me either way, but you've yet to elaborate on what you meant by taking my comment out of context and replying to it with other quotes of scripture taken out of context.
Finally, you imply that I'm anti-science. I'm willing to see evidence of my comments that would suggest I'm anti-science, but as far as I recall, I have been nothing but supportive of climate science among the other sciences.
When this thread started, I probably leaned more toward doing very little to mitigate climate change, and have moved my opinion to include taking more action than I was previously prepared to accept. So it's not like this discussion is pointless or that I don't listen.
As I've said, and which nobody has objected to, when there's a person claiming imminent threat, and that there's no time to think but only to act, and that they are among the few that can save us, and that we must grant them authority... is pure corruption.
