Dark matter being mysterious particles that have huge mass but are non interactive. Not regular matter which happens to be non lumenous such as dust along with other forces that we currently think we understand.

Actually they both do study weather and climate.NASA uses them all.It was radio astronomers at the Greenbank National Radio Astronomy Observatory which allowed the beginning of our understanding of global weather and warming on Earth.
Astrophysicists study every facet of celestial bodies from which to glean understandings of our home planet and Sun.
