I like removability because I want to be able to test it. I want to be able to take it off and put it back on with ease for A-B-A-B testing and such. Also, built to be removable means I can change the mounting configuration at will, without worrying about holes in the decklid. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color.
