They do, and tear around me to pass, and then tear around me to pass again when I glide past them at the next light, and again, and I don't think they realize they're passing the same car over and over, burning extra fuel, brake pads and blood pressure to achieve the same average speed as myself, motoring along at what appears to be an insufferable old fart puttering velocity but nevertheless maintaining my place in the stack of traffic.
How dangerous can what I'm doing be, when I'm getting the same average performance but doing it by being less variable? Consistency and predictability is what you WANT from other drivers.
