China has been playing false flag games, sending in masked disruptors into the protesters' ranks to beat up people or to throw Molotovs.

They've started arresting politicians.

It's only a matter of time.

I think the ubiquity of 3D printing might finally usher in the robot age. Print the workers you need on site. Give them more complex armatures and joints than you can build by traditional means. Make the complex and flexible... but cheap.
