The asteroid 16 Psyche has quadrillions or quintillions of dollars worth of metal ores. That would absorb all the laser power we can loft off-planet for quite some time.

No sarcasm here, but I casn't miss the oportunity to say :
In the middle or Antartida, two men near frozen talks:
_I'm freezing ang hungry.... Jesus, how I would like to eat a pizza right now.
_Me too... oh God...
_Really??? If you gonna bring it it I pay for and also a huge Coke.
In other words, if The Moon was made od diamands, it would still have no comertial value for us, since the cost to gonna there and bring it here it's more expensive than anything else on Earth (except antimatter).

Bringing massive amounts of construction materials into the world economy would crash it.
But a relatively small investment could result in exponential growth elsewhere, like an oak tree growing from an acorn.

How dare mere mortal men question Michael Manns work.
His work and hockey stick graph was the “GENESIS” moment of the global warming movement.
And just like any religion or cult, mere mortals are not allowed to question their doctrine and or founders.
They preach “Doom and Gloom” if one does not get behind their cause.
They require their followers to be unwavering fanatical participants.
They require that their followers not be lead astray by differing opinions.
They require that their followers attack and strike down all naysayers.
Case in point.

Questioning and requiring proof of a scientific theory is “aiding and abetting the enemy “ ???
Really...???
Maybe a refresher coarse on how the scientific process works is required...

Note the process is circular, not linear.
In the cartoon to the right of the process...
Step Two is where the AGW crowd inserted Michael Mann and the hockey stick graph...

This is why open sources are superior.

That escalated quickly.

If we had a space elevator, maybe the cost of space-based solar would only be several times more expensive than terrestrial-based.
Solar panels could be made from raw materials found on the moon, right? Perhaps the cost to put them into orbit would be less if they were manufactured there... by robots.
Then again, we're very early on in utilizing robots to manufacture things. I expect much of our energy problems to both be solved by, and compounded by increasing automation. If PV cells could be manufactured for next to nothing due to extensive automation, and installed by machines, then perhaps that would largely solve the cost part of the production equation. Automation could also be leveraged to building electricity storage.
I often wonder why robotics hasn't delivered more solutions than it has yet. $10k to put a new asphalt shingle roof on? There should be a robot with a spool of asphalt roofing material laying it down 1 sq/ft per second with millimeter accuracy.

Hong Kong is just a week or two away from the next Tiananmen Event.
China has been playing false flag games, sending in masked disruptors into the protesters' ranks to beat up people or to throw Molotovs.
They've started arresting politicians.
It's only a matter of time.

I think the ubiquity of 3D printing might finally usher in the robot age. Print the workers you need on site. Give them more complex armatures and joints than you can build by traditional means. Make the complex and flexible... but cheap.

There is no denying that carbon dioxide levels are rising steadily (over 415 ppm right now, does not break down and sequesters in thousands of years), as does N2O (>300 ppb, but 265 times as potent a greenhouse gas as CO2, breaks down in about 121 years).
The radioactive isotopes in the CO2 show most of it is caused by burning fossil fuel. We caused that, it does influence the climate.
Man-made climate change is a fact, and deniers defy truth.
There may be studies who are a bit shaky. Maybe some goofs want to bend the truth a bit here and there 'for the good cause', just like some bend the truth for the benefit of the oil companies. But the elephant in the room cannot be ignored.

Archived film has been found, that extends the record of Antarctic ice, and we now know that it is melting more quickly than we thought.
