That's a good point, plus even a small improvement is proportionately higher in a truck compared to some smaller, lighter, more aerodynamic and inherently more efficient car.

A good old body-on-frame layout may have its drawbacks, but if you wouldn't be willing to keep your vehicle looking mostly stock it still allows you to go extreme without so much risk of compromising the structural integrity.
