If you wanna squeeze it to the very max, you could do like I have done and carry a 1 gallon (or other size) gas can around with you "just in case". If it runs out before your 500 miles (or whatever your goal is) and you have to use the spare gas, noting the odometer reading where it quits lets you know what you got on the tank, then when you fill up at the gas station, fill the spare can too, so you can accurately calculate your mileage, even though it was more than your tank's actual capacity. ....also helps keep the gas in the spare can "fresh" if you carry it around all the time like I used to with the "White Gnat".

I actually got 800 miles on a tank once, but rolled to a stop before reaching a gas station. So I'm sure glad I had the spare can of gas! And obviously you wanna keep in mind how far that spare can will get you before heading out away from "civilization".

Congrats on your progress though. That's pretty darn good for a Sportscar!!
