GM recently released the Onix Plus in Brazil, only with a flexfuel 1.0L 3-cyl available in a naturally-aspirated version only with manual transmission and a turbocharger which also features automatic transmission as an option, and surprisingly it doesn't feature not even in the turbocharged versions the direct injection applied to its Chinese counterpart. This one is a turbocharged, and has the manual transmission.
What might make it fare reasonably as eco? Despite a more "conservative" tune compared to the Volkswagen Virtus with its 1.0TSI and direct injection, it's worth to remind port-injection engines usually don't have a PM emissions increase which is now a plague even for gassers instead of remaining an Achille's heel of Diesels...
