The PHEV model I see more frequently nowadays is the Volvo XC60.

GM recently released the Onix Plus in Brazil, only with a flexfuel 1.0L 3-cyl available in a naturally-aspirated version only with manual transmission and a turbocharger which also features automatic transmission as an option, and surprisingly it doesn't feature not even in the turbocharged versions the direct injection applied to its Chinese counterpart. This one is a turbocharged, and has the manual transmission.

What might make it fare reasonably as eco? Despite a more "conservative" tune compared to the Volkswagen Virtus with its 1.0TSI and direct injection, it's worth to remind port-injection engines usually don't have a PM emissions increase which is now a plague even for gassers instead of remaining an Achille's heel of Diesels...

For those who would want a Toyota minivan with a smaller footprint than a Sienna, maybe this one could serve. More surprising is the fact that it replaced an SUV on the markets where it's available...

I just aquired this a couple months ago - file this under classic economy cars... a 1976 Daf 46. It's powered by a front mounted 844cc air cooled 2 cylinder boxer engine, it's rear wheel drive with a continuously variable transmission just ahead of the differential.

My DAF

Wow, a DAF!!!
They are very rare nowadays, even over here where they were made, due to a lack of Californian weather

My parents had an '62 DAF 750. It had a strengthened body with a roll cage and seat belts, which saved the life of me (as a toddler) and my family when it rolled over 5 times. That day brought the first memories of my life that I can recount.

Presumably the turbodiesel engine renders this Kia Carens quite eco

Spotted this beauty at the parking lot of a supermarket. Not so easy to see a seemingly unmolested Fiat 147 with the earliest front clip.

Chevrolet Onix hatchback made only in Brazil, unlike the sedan which was premiered in China

Even though this one was not the first Onix sedan I saw on the street instead of at a dealer showroom, was the first one I took a picture on the street

I'm sure it might fare as somewhat eco, compared to bulkier vehicles also used as taxi
