Developers in community western Washington housing developments pour concrete sidewalks next to "environmental, beautifying" trees. With our rains, the trees grow fast. The sidewalks crack & uplift in 10 years. The city (now their responsibility, not the developers') cuts roots, re-do the sidewalks & later have to cut the trees down before the sidewalks become an obstacle course.
