These regions that resent bankrolling the rest of the country look like guys who won "big" with a scratch-off ticket and then want to ditch the ol' ball and chain.
Reminds me of Colbert's explanatory map of one of the worse California split proposals. "Billionaires' Enclave" was right next to "Really West Virginia". Because you don't want your town to have to fund that town's schools, you know?
