The problem is the wheels. The Dasher has 14" cast wheels (Ronal R-8), and I don't want to drill the Marathons.
One repair might be to braze aluminum plugs in the holes and as you say drill new ones in between. But then they'd need planishing because they're covered in small dents that would show when they're spinning.
For now they're swap-meet parts. I might double my money!
