If they're socialists why do they charge for their services?

Our Software Partners
Friendship Systems
Interactive 3D web app to design a glider
Friendship Systems

Friendship Systems is a German software company that develops the software system CAESES. They developed an interactive 3D web app to design a glider plane. It includes a first theoretical indication on the aerodynamics after which the 3D model can be sent directly to AirShaper for a full-blown 3D flow analysis.
Mechanical Simulations
Software to simulate vehicle behaviour
Mechanical Simulations

Mechanical Simulation Corporation is the world leader in the development and distribution of advanced software (CarSim, Truck Sim & BikeSim) used to simulate vehicle behaviour. It partnered with AirShaper to get accurate aerodynamic properties directly fed to CarSim.
Neural Concept
3D Deep Learning Software
Neural Concept

Neural Concept accelerates and automates the engineering process for industrial companies using innovative, deep-learning algorithms that morph 3D shapes to optimize drag, lift and other aerodynamic parameters. It leverages AirShaper simulation data to train its algorithms.

Do socialists employ free and open source software? Anarcho-capitalists would. I looked at, e.g., Friendship Systems but they don't talk about Open Source or the Free Software Foundation.

I question their commitment to the cause.

Compare with Simscale:

Which runs in your web browser. They give away 3000 hours of computer time with the caveat that everything is in public domain, then you can pay for private access once you're up the curve.

Compare with airshaper's 'first-one's-free' licensing model.

edit: licensing for lisencing
