Maybe in future most things for food will be synthetic, aminoacids, sugars, oils, and the taste will be given by artificial flavors that mimics natural flavors. Maybe real food became a luxury for wealth people.
We should be skipping ahead straight to direct stimulation of the brain synapses responsible for taste. Then we can just slurp down a perfectly healthy smoothie of nutrients and tell our brain that it tastes amazing. Even better, have the slurpee start off tasting amazing, and if people are tempted to have too much, the brain stimulator switches to an awful taste to prevent people from becoming overweight.

The product can be called Soylent Green.

For that matter, drug use would be pointless in the future because the brain could be directly stimulated. We don't have enough self-control to not be destroyed by such technology, which I see as all but inevitable.
