Government agencies don't crash test anything from what I know, they just certify the designs using evidence provided by in house testing. The independent outfits that crash test cars and trucks where you see the videos are non-governmental that have to outright purchase the cars on their own. They usually don't spend the money on high dollar, limited production stuff. A Corvette is right on the edge probably as it's actually not that expensive and they will produce a large number of them.
