I haven’t been around quite as long as some of our peeps, about seven years. I joined at the tail end of the last gas crisis, just before I started driving.

Manufacturers will build what sells. But it seems that a lot of people out there dont care about fuel economy. One look down the highway up here and you'll see it dominated with pickups and SUV's.
But I think its gonna take another gas/crude crisis to wake people back up again.

I was really hoping the truck and SUV fad was limited to the US, half or more vehicles on the roads down here in Georgia are trucks and SUVs. I just don’t see the appeal. It’s kind of ironic that people are getting on their high chairs to demand everyone goes electric, and they haven’t even convinced people to cut their consumption in half by driving cars.
