I'm hoping humans on Mars happens while I'm around. We've gone nowhere in my lifetime. Looking forward to autonomous cars too...

Speaking of autonomy, as we advance those frontiers, the cost of everything will plummet and we'll get even more wealthy. We will probably need a smaller population to support the wealth afforded by automation, which I expect will decline naturally. Somehow there is an inverse correlation between advancement of technology and a slowing population growth.
