We like to be different:
- We still ban advanced headlights that have been used in the EU since 2013.
- We are behind the times on crash standards.
- We still use an archaic system of random measures instead of the metric system.
The NHTSA requested money in 2019 to study mirror cams. We are years away from them making a decision.
