When I was in the Netherlands,in 1997,according to CBS' 60-MINUTES,it was the last year for Holland's annual,national,120-mile, ice-skating event to be held at home.Due to global warming,they've had to travel 750-miles south to Austria in order to to find enough ice in which to hold the event.No mention of the carbon footprint for the thousands of participants traveling on the 1,500-mile round trip.
