Let's say that I do everything the same, just with bamboo, which I am positive would fail horribly...

What thickness of bamboo would you need?
1", pack of 25, currently $75: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Backyard...A-Catchall_PLA
4", each, $116 shipped: https://www.ebay.com/i/264377588293?var=564201829945
3-4" x 20', pack of 40, just $2,000, plus shipping: https://www.ebay.com/i/114049432066
2", pack of 10, $139: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Backyard...BP07/203841434

Let's go with the last ones and we will say 56" x 96" outer dimensions, 16" on-center on the long sides, 14" on-center on the short sides--44 poles just for the sides. Five packs: $695.

2x3s are $2 at Home Depot.
2x2s are $2.30!
2x4s are $3.62, making $1.81 per 2

Even using 2x2s and 2x3s, it would cost $94.60 for 22 of each.

Um yeah. That is a bit less.
