Go find a wrecked camping trailer in a junkyard. Seen a dozen or so even here in Reno where the yahoo owner did something dumb and ruined only part of the upper half. They tend to sit for a long time before the yard people take them apart, probably insurance claim related.
Negotiate with your brother to pre prejudice your mom in a direction you favor. Bet it doesn't work.

Mom claimed that I wanted to build sheds--plural--in the backyard. My brother's provider suggested parking a fifth wheel back there. Since I did not suggest it, Mom loved the idea. I said "I barely fit my Civic through the gate and you freaked out!"
"Yeah, but a fifth wheel is better than a shed!"
"How?!"
"It just is!"

I'm not totally unfavorable to wood, as long as it's properly treated before use and the work is done properly. When it comes to concrete and brick, I always lived in houses and apartments built that way, and even though extra insulation is not so frequently applied to them it fares quite well regarding thermal comfort. Sure it's also a matter of how it's built in order to take more benefit from the materials.

Nor I, but it might be worth mentioning hempcrete, aircrete and basalt fiber.

Hempcrete would be a nice option for prefabricated houses.

Conde & Seber: Building Toward The Future With Hemp
So when High Times learned that Bill Conde, a longtime hemp activist who once ran for governor of Oregon, was researching making an alternative to plywood utilizing hemp, we decided to look into it. What immediately stands out when going to see Conde is the huge billboard for Conde's Redwood Lumber on the side of Interstate 5, just outside of ...

Back during Prohibition there used to be a sign along I-5 between Harrisburg and Coburg calling for it's end.
Bill Conde worked on hemp particleboard but he was a purist and wanted the resins to come from hemp as well. Mercedes-Benz took it up for backing in their door panels, but — times being what they were — Lane County hounded him until he sold out and moved to Belize.
Hempcrete, hemp particle board and canvas. ...and wallpaper.
The other plant that is as versatile is bamboo.

You want me to use bamboo instead of 2x4s?! Does that bridge thermally less?!

Let's say that I do everything the same, just with bamboo, which I am positive would fail horribly...
What thickness of bamboo would you need?
1", pack of 25, currently $75: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Backyard...A-Catchall_PLA
4", each, $116 shipped: https://www.ebay.com/i/264377588293?var=564201829945
3-4" x 20', pack of 40, just $2,000, plus shipping: https://www.ebay.com/i/114049432066
2", pack of 10, $139: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Backyard...BP07/203841434
Let's go with the last ones and we will say 56" x 96" outer dimensions, 16" on-center on the long sides, 14" on-center on the short sides--44 poles just for the sides. Five packs: $695.
2x3s are $2 at Home Depot.
2x2s are $2.30!
2x4s are $3.62, making $1.81 per 2
Even using 2x2s and 2x3s, it would cost $94.60 for 22 of each.
Um yeah. That is a bit less.
