Nowadays if I would get a clearly-unaerodynamic vehicle, most likely I'd look for a Jeep CJ or a Toyota J40, as they actually have a size that may render them more practical even for city commuting than the best-selling econoboxes in Brazil, plus they would remain suitable to go basically anywhere (including to go visit some cousins in the countryside).
As for a hot-rod, when I said I would prefer a different bodystyle, it would probably be something with a fully-enclosed body focusing on the overall utility, plus an enclosed engine compartment which I would be more comfortable assuming it could decrease the likelihood of having it vandalized. Even though relying on a hot-rod as the only vehicle won't be the case, I'd still prefer to not compromise too much its ability to remain suitable for some occasional commuting when a more conventional vehicle wouldn't be readily available.

I didn't really pay too much attention to aerodynamics anyway...

Glad you'd be paying for the alcohol and not me.

Not sure if that one is alcohol-powered or gasser, but most likely it's a gasser.
