I love that auto manufacturers are switching to making ventilators. That cannot be easy or cheap.
This site says that ventilators for ICUs cost $25,000 - 50,000:

The U.S. has about 200,000 ventilators and 135,000 respiratory therapists to run them. WebM.D. says that we may need up to 960,000 ventilators.
U.S. May Not Have Enough Ventilators for COVID-19
Of course, these are international corporations, and this is a global pandemic, but how many countries can afford these? This post starts out saying that ventilators are available, but hospitals cannot afford them, but then says that hospitals aren't buying more because this is only a temporary spike:
