I for one, appreciate a good
reductio ad absurdem.
I was, for years, an Independent. Then for some reason I re-registered as a Libertarian. After a while they realized I wasn't a big-L Libertarian and they don't remember me.
I find nothing about political parties in the Constitution. I know they rose more or less organically
post facto. My concern is that when the number of [viable] parties reduces to two, it's hard to raise it again. Even worse when it's only one.
