My opinion of Tim Pool's intelligence level...okay no need to go there.
But I think assuming no hot wars start (big assumption), the whole political mess is actually a good thing. In the last 10 years there's been a rightward shift in most countries for good reason, but the politicians have largely resorted to saying outsiders are the problem, while the debt bubbles have been expanding faster than ever.
Now that it looks like borders are going to be taken seriously and trade/travel are going to be cut down, people will have the chance to look inward at their own country and decide what needs to be fixed. Sustainable fiscal and monetary policy might actually have a chance. This is probably asking for too much, but maybe education reform can even happen, as the need for a competitive domestic workforce for replacing imported labor arises.
