I have to say, this is the only time I've not dreaded PDX traffic. Normally anxiety builds, and upon arriving at my destination I need a good 40min of quietness to recover from my frustration of having spent the last 90 minutes in a car traveling slower than had I been on a bicycle.

Portland certainly does. There are plenty of days that visibility is poor due to pollution. Fly into PDX and you can see a brown layer over the city.
