I expect they will start with the consumer truck and SUV as planned and then ramp up the commercial van. Long term I can see the van being the volume product but the consumer vehicles as low volume products providing the bulk of their profits. The problem with commercial vehicles is that buyers - especially fleet buyers - are laser focused on cost per mile. They don’t load their vehicles up with expensive options like consumer products.

Yes we are in a recession but it isn’t hitting the people that buy $70,000 - $100,000 cars nearly as hard as the working poor and middle class.
