On Friday, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown signed an executive order to extend the state of emergency for another 60 days, keeping Oregonians stuck in their homes until July 6.
The underlined section is true. The bold section is false. Governor Brown did not extended the stay-at-home order until July 6th.
If you have been following Oregon news the past week the talk has been about Brown's 3 phased plan to reopen the state and sent people back to work. The final plan is due next week.
Oregon's phase 1 includes opening restaurants, bars, breweries, brewpubs, wineries and tasting rooms can reopen. That doesn't sound like being stuck in my home to me.
I fully expect the state of emergency to be extended again past July 6th considering Phase 1 allows gatherings of 10 people, Phase 2 is 50 people, and Phase 3 is basically back to normal with events in the thousands of people. I don't see 20,000 person concerts happening in the Moda Center on July 7th.
